Dear Al,

It looks as though I am destined to stay here for a while. We are working 7 days a week with hrs. from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. I saw Tagwill Tuesday on his way to Trenton from Moncton, he stopped at the school. He was in Moncton since March 15th. nine out of 13 in his class flunked their navigation had to resit the exams. That's what I have to look forward to.

Dear Ned,

The weather up here has been good except all last week, for the smoke from a north-west forest fire, 100,000 sq. miles of bush country has been burning for weeks some 200 air miles away. You can't smell it on the ground but up to 8,000 or 9,000 ft. almost chokes you seeping in through the ship. There hasn't been any horizon below that, and while your in it you don't even have one mile flight vizibility. So we have to fly high above the smoke haze to practice the aerobatic manuevers.

Dear Ned & Gals,

Received all your swell letters and am sorry I can't return as many. Whenever you send anything put my R.C.A.F. Regimental #104918 with the address. If anyone wants to visit me I will have to discourage it, for I don't even have time to entertain myself. But just let someone bring around a qt. of Canadian Club- I'll find the time. I will be going to Trenton Ontario for a Month.
Gus.
