Gus finished up business
at Cap de le Madeleine on
March 24, 1942. Over the
5 1/2 months at the school
he logged 311.24 hrs. of
instruction given to 72
ab initio student pilots.

On the 25th Rabe reported
to the #1 Manning Depot
in Toronto for the Officers'
Initial Training School for
five weeks of: drill, duties,
Customs of the Service,
Air Force Law, Etc.. Upon
reporting he was made a
Flight Seargent in the
regular Royal Canadian
Air Force.
